[OS4] AmiDARK Engine arrive en version Alpha R2

L’AmiDARK Engine, que l’on doit à Frederic “AmiDARK” Cordier, est un kit de développement permettant de créer des jeux vidéo à l’instar de DarkBASIC (Professional) et DarkGDK desquels il est inspiré. Il est d’ailleurs aisé de faire la migration des sources de ces derniers vers l’AmiDARK Engine, ce qui permettra de porter aisément des applications et jeux du monde PC issus de ces kits sur AmigaOS 4.1.

La version alpha disponible dès à présent sur OS4Depot contient plus de 380 commandes/fonctions pour aider dans le développement. Les principales améliorations depuis la première version disponible se situent dans les trois jeux de commandes suivants : Basic3D, Caméras, Lumières 3D. Il y a désormais plus de contrôles et de qualité de rendu. Les objets 3D importés gèrent maintenant leur textures eux-même. Pour l’instant seul le format 3D interne au moteur est supporté mais d’autres formats viendront bientôt.

Vous pourrez tester les quatre démos fournies avec l’alpha R2, les modifier et les recompiler à votre guise.

    J’en profite, je viens de mettre à jour la liste des nouveautés de cette version :

    ENGINE :
    – Reorganised source codes in /shared/ and in subfolders.
    – Added support for CreateDeleteString() system similar to DarkBASIC PRo & DarkGDK.
    – Added separate debug mode to display only information from the plugin to debug.
    – Added internal functions for bits manipulations.
    – Added timer.device to handle frame rate and soonly animations.
    – Added support for window close caption.

    BASIC2D:
    – Added DBProEx( Left, Top, Right, Bottom, Color1, Color2, Color3, Color4 ) function.

    BASIC3D:
    – Internal object structure changed.
    – Loaded 3D Objects automatically load internal textures and applies them to limbs.
