Je viens de lire un tweet : ce coquin de Petro Tyschtschenko possède un stock de 1500 Amiga 1200 qu’il vend 150 Euros pièce!

This Petro Tyschtschenko guy has uncovered a cache of 1500 unsold A1200s in India. The a1k.org admins appear to be in some sort of discussions and price negitiations about a group buy of the whole consignment and they seem to be looking to draw up a list of interested members to be able to group buy the lot, with members paying something in the ball park of 100 Euros each.

They estimate that the consignment will probably be a full container load plus a light container load, i.e about 30 pallets worth in two containers. They are also trying to find out what the potential importation costs and charges will be, so the 100 Euro cost is purely an estimate.

The other discussions are centered around if these are Commodore or Escom models and what possible condition these machines will be in after storage for such a long time in a climate such as India. There is a risk that the capacitors will have leaked and that these machines could all need repairs in some shape or form.

One of the Admins on a1k.org (aPex) has stated that he has maybe ‘jumped the gun’ about this cache of A1200s part way through the thread and that further questions and negotiations will probably need to happen before anything moves towards making a serious list of members and taking deposits or payments.

If some of our German members can keep an eye on this thread and let us know if this develops into a serious group buy situation, we may be able to assist in finding the 1500 people that might wish to add themselves to the list over at a1k.org if this deal becomes serious. I have posted our potential interest in a group deal in that thread.”

L’information des 1500 ordinateurs est fausse, il n’y en a que 500 unités, en version PAL, dixit Petro.
