Je suis également intéressé par me monter une config

qui fasse tourner (entre autres) amithlon.

Il y a quelque chose que je ne saisis pas :

si on s’équipe d’une carte graphique et une carte son compatible mais que la carte mère ne figure pas dans la

liste du matériel supporté qu’est-ce qui se passe concrêtement ? le cd d’amithlon plante ?

Non pas forcément un plantage… tout dépend de ce qui n’est pas reconnu sur la carte mère Le mieux étant encore d’essayer. Après, rare sont celles qui posent vraiment problème, à moins d’avoir des chipsets intégrés ou ports non supportés (PCI-Express je crois). Amithlon est plus capricieux avec les périphériques que la carte mère en elle-même… donc si t’as la bonne carte graphique et son, y’a pas de raison

hi

now, i have amd64 x2, hd2900xt, 2 GB dDR2 and black screen with amithlon

i tryed VirtualBox 2.1 on Ubuntu 8.10 64bit, but..black screen.

my old configuration for amithlon was great: AmD64 3500. 1 GB DDR400 and X800XL

very fast!

someone here launched with success amithlon on virtualbox..how?

toh, now it works..

but i don’t know how..

boing ball ad libitum, i soot ctrl-amiga -amiga and it start!!

however, to install amigaos it needs to reboot, but so i cannot enter into eary startup..to choose amithlon image to install the OS.

after i start amithlon with ctrl-amiga-amiga, i cannot shoot again this key so, i cannot reboot amigaos (

maybe the problem, is virtualbox on ubuntu.

i’ll try with windows..

Amithlon now works in Virtualbox 2.1 on Vindows Vista 64bit SP1 on E8500.

Not support amithlon update, but i’ll try again (the first time, it works, but onlly in 640×480 e black and whte, but with sound).

No support to net or USB.

Ok, to start amithlon we can press a key on boing ball animation..

Some speed test:

Quake 640x480x8 = 103 fps

Rc5= 4.880.000 keys/s circa

Bytemark = 25 Integer; 10 Floating point.

Video seems in hardware acceleration, not jerky in vesa mode on scrolling page and windows.

Scrolling on ibrowse is so fast..

If works the net, it will be perfect to surf..

the best amiga environment for now is Amithlon.

Aros is good, but not usable like amithlon.

It has a great future aros, but now, i haven’t the same feelings of amithlon.

Maybe, a nostalgic user like me search other in an amiga environment.

It’s the Same, I prefer ti use real my Amiga 2000.

Amiga 2000 in it there is:

flicker fixer and scandoubleur electronic desin on video slot

Cette fois-ci, le pegasos est partis pour de bon, je me remet sous Amithlon, avec une carte mere generique et un celeron 300 A, une carte reseau rtl8139, un carte cfx riva tnt2. J’essayerais bien ce fameux OWB 68K, sa pourrais etre amusant.

Quel bien je suis etonner de la vitesse d’amithlon pour une installation de base avec ce type de hardware.

Comme Bip ma si gentillement m’as fais cadeau de son pegasos2 lors du Nass de l’été dernier, je m’aprète a recommancé l’expérience du renvoi d’une machine au près de Bplan. En effet celui-ci est en panne, suite a une alimentation qui a cramé, la machine après n’as plus redemarré.

Je viens ici pour faire le report de cette épisode. J’ai écris un mail a bplan, afain de les mettre au courant.

Ce Pegasos2 comporte une carte mère Rev:2b1 avec une carte CPU G4 1 GigaHertz
